UEM Sunrise Berhad (“UEM Sunrise” or “the Company”) welcomes the announcement of Budget 2026, themed “Driving the MADANI Economy: Empowering the People” by the Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
As the first budget under the 13th Malaysia Plan (RMK13), we commend the Government’s continued focus on strengthening the economy, safeguarding citizens' welfare and reinforcing sustainable and inclusive development, which are closely aligned with our own priorities as a nation-building property developer.
The measures outlined, including housing affordability, infrastructure connectivity, sustainability, urban liveability, civil servant salary restructuring and targeted subsidies to meet the rakyat’s priorities, are timely in catalysing growth opportunities for Malaysia’s housing sector.
UEM Sunrise supports the government’s efforts to enhance home financing accessibility and to expand housing supply programmes such as rent-to-own and build-then-sell to encourage greater homeownership among the rakyat. These measures strengthen our resolve and commitment to deliver long-term value to stakeholders while contributing to the national development agenda.
As we move forward, UEM Sunrise remains focused on collaborating with the government and corporate partners, in advancing sustainable urban solutions and enhancing quality of life for Malaysians.
