The project also comes with 108 units of one-storey Kedai Kos Sederhana Rendah (“KSSR”) or low-cost shop lots, with built-up of 1,200 sq ft and priced at RM200,000.00 each,” said Anwar Syahrin during a briefing with the media here today.
“The first batch of eligible purchasers had their Sales and Purchase Agreements signed up in January 2016 where more than 400 units were taken-up. And with the completion date drawing nearer, which is June 2018, we would like to invite more eligible buyers to grab this opportunity to visit the show unit of Denai Nusantara to have a glimpse of what UEM Sunrise’s affordable homes have to offer,” he added.
Denai Nusantara comes with an affordable maintenance, quality workmanship, lifestyle recreation and amenities as well as communal facilities such as multi-purpose hall, surau, tadika, management office and recreational park with jogging tracks. A plot of land is also reserved for a hawker centre and a mosque to be built later and amenities such as schools, bus-station, post office, etc, will only be a walking distance away.
While UEM Sunrise focuses on the development of Denai Nusantara, the Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Johor, Bahagian Perumahan (“SUK”) or the Housing Division of the Johor State Secretary Office, is entrusted with determining the deserving and eligible purchasers of the affordable housing. These eligible rakyat will be the main beneficiaries of the Denai Nusantara development in Iskandar Puteri.
UEM Sunrise had pledged to offer more affordable housing in Iskandar Puteri to be built based on the guidelines stipulated by the Johor Public Housing Policy in Iskandar Malaysia. This initiative was in line with the aspirations of the National Housing Council (“NHC”) as well as the Johor State Government in ensuring home ownerships for the rakyat.
The groundbreaking for the project was held in November 2014 which was graced by the Menteri Besar of Johor, YAB Dato’ Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin. More than 500 guests, including community leaders, representatives from the local authorities, media representatives and the kampung folks from the surrounding areas attended the event.
