KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 22): UEM Sunrise Bhd (KL:UEMS) has introduced its latest Australian development, One Oval, to Malaysian buyers in a preview held at the UEM Sunrise Showcase Gallery in Mont’Kiara ahead of the project’s broader international marketing campaign.
The A$450 million (RM1.35 billion) One Oval, located in Subiaco, Western Australia, marks the developer’s first entry into the Perth market.
“Bringing One Oval to Kuala Lumpur reflects our intention to connect Malaysian buyers with thoughtfully designed international developments,” said UEM Sunrise officer-in-charge and chief financial officer Hafizuddin Sulaiman in a statement on Sept 20.
“With One Oval, we are pleased to introduce a landmark development that not only reflects quality of vibrancy, liveability and sustainability, but also embraces community-focused living. These are values we continue to prioritise in shaping places that support both present and future communities.”
The project is a component of the Subi East revitalisation initiative led by DevelopmentWA, Western Australia’s state agency for urban renewal. One Oval comprises two blocks on two lots with a curated ground-floor retail area.
The South Tower, located on Lot 1, consists of a 26- and 36-storey tiered building, with a total of 245 residential units and four retail tenancies totalling 340 sq m. The layouts include one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units and townhouses with build-ups ranging from 77 to 273 sq m. The selling price is from A$675,000 to A$2 million.
The North Tower, which is only 11 storeys on Lot 2, will comprise 97 units, with 41 allocated for affordable housing in support of Western Australia’s inclusive housing objectives. The layouts include one-bedroom and two-bedroom units with sizes between 77 and 110 sq m. Selling prices range from A$650,000 to A$820,000.
The North Tower is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2029, followed by the South Tower later in the same year.
Facilities include a half-Olympic-length pool, hot and cold plunge pools, a gym, a private theatre, a golf simulator, a rooftop club with yoga decks, dining lounges, BBQ areas and a community herb garden.
UEM Sunrise is targeting a 5-star Green Star rating for the project under the Green Star Buildings 1.0 standard.
Construction is expected to begin in the second half of 2026.
