The 200 students from UEM Land’s 4 “adopted” secondary schools under the PINTAR Programme attended the full-day talk at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai. The talk was conducted by an invited guest speaker from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Dr. Mohd Zolkifli Bin Abd Hamid, who is a well-known motivator and has been actively conducting motivational seminar for students and exam candidates for the past 13 years.

In its pioneering year of organizing such an event, the programme aimed at providing encouragement and motivation to the students in facing academic challenges, specifically the SPM examination. The talk was graced by the presence of UEM Land’s Deputy General Manager of Quality Assurance & Occupational Safety and Health and Environment Department (QA&OSHE), Puan Sohaila Bte Haji Yahya who delivered an inspiring speech and also presented the certificate of participation to the participants.

“Over the last three years, we have made a commitment, under our PINTAR programme, to improve the academic performance of our adopted schools and we are confident that our efforts will bear fruits soon. We will continuously monitor the performance of these schools to determine the effectiveness of the programmes implemented”, said Sohaila.

Education has been identified as a key enabler that will contribute towards bridging the socio economic between the urban and rural communities. To-date, there is a total of 17 schools; 13 primary and 4 secondary schools under UEM Land’s PINTAR Schools Programme.
